Victorian Gingham Balloon Sleeve Bodice w/ Emerald Silk Buttons- S-S/M

Absolutely fabulous, late Victorian bodice in a wonderful brown gingham, with stunning, bright emerald silk decorative buttons. Outer shell is a sturdy and thick wool, but is lined with the most sumptuous and thick, silk lining! Making it completely non itchy and incredibly comfortable. Hook and eye closures up the front with a beautiful, arts and crafts looking trim of green blocks and circles. Very unique. Exceptionally tailored and strong. So well made and in wonderful condition for age. Flaws would be some of the decorative green buttons have deterioration, I’d say about two or three of them. As well as some deterioration of the silk lining on the back of the neck and at the base of the waist. Though, as you can see the silk lining overall is in very good condition and completely wearable, and will be for years to come. Likely the best antique bodice I’ve ever had the pleasure of stewarding!
