Gorgeous, large antique oil painting of a nude woman on stretched canvas by Rudolf Peteul. Rudolf Petuel (1870-1937) originally comes from Munich. He is mainly known for landscape paintings but painted many nudes, some as early as the 1890s. His nudes have been valued up to $3,500.

This piece is a larger scale, almost 2 x 3’. Painting shows minor wear, some light slack in the canvas and a small hole on the women’s stocking at her ankle. Due to the impressionistic style of the painting and its thick brush strokes, this hole is not apparent with the plain eye. Signed R. Petuel.
