1974 Rare Alice Pollock Documented Knit Kaftan Dress w/ Bell Sleeves- M

Absolutely tremendous, rare and collectible, 1974 knit kaftan sweater dress by well known British designer, Alice Pollock. Pollock started her iconic London boutique, Quorum in 1964 and was soon joined by friends, Ossie Clark + Celia Birtwell, which launched the boutique into its golden years and was later acquired by, Radley. This unique garment is absolutely genius and makes for the perfect, effortlessly chic look in cooler weather. Which can be a very difficult thing to achieve! This softer, wool knit kaftan was documented on the cover of a pop culture magazine, Fabulous 208, in the 70s, and was designed in the bohemian style that was emerging at the time. Which can be seen in its large and long bell sleeves and the colorful and geometric designs. Looks fabulous style with boots or flats.

In really wonderful condition and presents virtually perfectly. There is, however, a hint of color bleed on the bottom of some of the red stripe band on the bottom. Shown in photos and does not stand out whatsoever when worn. This item very very rarely pops up for sale, and is an exquisite piece of wearable fashion history.

Marked a size M. I would certainly wear as a S/M.
