1970s Rare Catherine Buckley Lace + Iris Net Peasant Dress- XS-S

Ethereal, 1970s cotton net peasant dress made by legendary British designer, Catherine Buckley. Buckley utilized old textiles primarily from 1905-1935 that had been salvaged from an abandoned factory. Due to this, many of her creations are one of a kind and collectible.

This piece features a gorgeous iris and floral textile on the skirt and sleeves, with lace panels on the bust. Skirt is lined with a medium weight cotton fabric. This dress has been modeled on a mannequin with a 33” bust and I believe that should be her max due to the lace paneling. She has a mend on the shoulder as well as some wear along the bust seams. There are also some tiny marks and pulls on the skirt, shown in photos. Presents beautifully. This dress is unlabeled but comes from the collection of an avid collector.
