Lovely, 1940s swallow mother of pearl brooch. Swallow carries a letter that dangles of its beak. A symbol of peace. I just adore these types of pins. Perfect to attach to a knit sweater or even a handbag. In beautiful, good working condition. It does appear that there may have been a stone or perhaps some cut steel in the eye that is no longer there. This does not stand out when worn and appears virtually perfectly.
