1940s Orange Sorbet Silk Crepe Blouse w/ Monochrome Stitching- S/M
Truly wonderful, 1940s orange sorbet silk crepe blouse. Features fabulous monochrome stitching along the trim of the neck, pockets and cuffs. This feature is something that’s highly sought after in early vintage garments. It really adds a certain element of playfulness and whimsy! Has french cuffs (cuff links are not included), with orange tinted mother of pearl buttons down the front. Darted at the waistline, making her an excellent candidate to be tucked into a high waisted bottom. She is a loop collar style and has small shoulder pads, which are easily removable.
In wonderful and strong condition with a few tiny flaws. There’s a small smudge near the right cuff, as well as teeny pinhole near the placket. Also, there are two very tiny chips on the back of two of the buttons. They are structurally sound. All shown in photos.
Also, I modeled this with a black bra beneath, and even though this is quite opaque, it did show through a bit. I would recommend with a nude bra beneath. Made by American sportswear designer, Frances Sider.
