1940s Cabernet Paisley Silk Printed Slip Dress- M

Truly remarkable and rare, 1940s paisley and floral printed slip dress on a deep and rich, cabernet red background. The paisley print is absolutely stunning with periwinkle, orange and a neon lime green! Bust is ruched in the center with long ties to cinch to create more or less coverage, as well as a flattering, razor back cut. Material is a silk or silk blend. I was surprised to find a manufacturer tag, and although I can’t make out most of it, the size is marked 38 for a 38” bust. Could potentially work for smaller, and a bit bigger, of course. May need to be taken in on the sides for an ideal fit.

In strong and lovely condition with some superficial flaws. Including an interesting misprint of dye on one hip which looks like light whitish swiping (very faint) as well as some darker smudges or water marks on the right side, as well as one on the neckline. Due to the depth of color, I don’t find these very noticeable when worn whatsoever. The print really is what stands out the most!
