1940s Baskets of Raspberries Still Life Oil Painting- 12 x 14”

Lovely and charming, 1940s still life of two baskets of raspberries. Berries are some of my favorite subject matters in paintings and I really adore the naïveté and eagerness in the piece! Even though it is amateur, it has aged so beautifully and it has a really lovely look and feel to it. Has been recently reframed in a gilt frame, but seems as tho they kept the original wooden backing. I believe this is on board from what I can see through the backing materials. This is signed in the lower left hand corner but signature is dark and hard to make out. Just a sweet little piece.
