1930s Rare White Pongee Silk Beach Pajama Jumpsuit- M

Truly wonderful and rare, early 1930s beach pajamas in a unique, lustrous white pongee silk. This silk is more sultry and softer than what we would normally think of pongee silk. Its opacity is also stronger, meaning it is less see through. It is printed with vivid and vibrant orange, red, blue and chartreuse floral and nature motifs. Features wide, flowy palazzo legs and two front pockets, with a wrap waist which allows it to fit a few sizes.

In outstanding condition for age. On the chest, there is what seems to be some light overspray from the original dye process, as well as a few micro dots on the hips. There is also a pinhole on the underarm and a very small and faint, dime size color bleed mark on the leg and on the tie sash. All shown in photos. Presents practically perfectly and silk is incredibly strong.
