1930s Rare Avant Garde Deco Palazzo Beach Pajama Jumpsuit- S/M-M
Truly remarkable, early 1930s Avant Garde Deco Palazzo Beach Pajama Jumpsuit. This pair of beach pajamas are some of the most remarkable I’ve certainly ever seen in person, or even in photographs! Material is quite intriguing and feels like a textured, nubby silk or perhaps a silk and rayon blend. Fabric is printed with a striking, burgundy and chartreuse abstract and organic print. Color of the jumpsuit itself is a light mauve pink. Features fabulous, wide palazzo pants and two large burgundy button closures at the neckline. Could be made shorter by bringing the buttons down, if desired. Has snap closures along the waist and side and cinches with its matching sash.
In outstanding condition for its age and very wearable, with a few very superficial flaws. The first being, there are some mends on the sash, as well as a few tiny marks on the front, and the faintest color bleed on a few of the geometric, burgundy shapes. All show in the last few photos. The color bleed is so light it was hard to pick up, but if you look closely you should be able to get the idea. Quite inconsequential for how remarkable these are! There is no doubt in my mind that these magnificent beach pajamas could be on exhibit in a museum. Just exquisite.
