1930s/40s Burgundy + Candy Cane Stripe Velvet Jacket- S/M

Fantastic, 1930s/40s burgundy velvet jacket with a wonderful, candy cane stripe trim. Dramatic shawl collar and flouncy angel sleeves. Looks great cinched with a belt or tucked in. Snap closures up the front, with about two inches to make larger if desired. This piece appears to be homemade, possibly a theater costume.

Overall in good vintage condition. Back of the shawl has a small darn mend, the size of a dime. There is also a quarter size thinning of the velvet on a decorative portion of the back which reflects lightly, the natural interfacing beneath. All shown in photos. Still presents well, in my opinion. Belt pictured is not included.
