1920s/30s Sapphire Chiffon Blouse w/ Mother of Pearl Button Neckline- M
Late 1920s, Early 30s Sapphire Chiffon Blouse w/ Mother of Pearl Button Neckline- M
Absolutely magical, late 20s, early 30s sheer chiffon blouse in a deep sapphire blue. This blouse features the most exquisite (and heavy) mother of pearl button neckline, which scales the dagger collar, goes down the placket and then all the way to the back of the neck. She has a generous and long, series of side snap closures to make her easy to get in and out of. Not to mention the most adorable label that reads, “The Opera”.
This piece is so strong and in excellent, almost antique condition. She does have two, ultra faint white marks on the front. As well as appears slightly darker on the left shoulder when not wearing, but when on I didn’t find that I could see it at all. You can see this when I model the photo of the back. Forgivable for how precious she is!
I am safely marking her as a size M as the arm holes are 12” around, a little smaller than what might be required for a size L. Also, with a chiffon blouse such as this it’s always best to have a nice amount of room to wear comfortably and with full range of motion. My shoulders are 15”, bust is 36”, and waist is 28” and I definitely found it very flattering and wearable for me even with the extra room.
Ptp: best for up to 42”, measures up to 46”
Sts: 15-17” comfortably
Waist: up to 35” (can be cinched down w ties)
Arm opening: 12” around
