1880s Victorian Beaver Fur Bonnet w/ Bon Bons
1880s Victorian Beaver Fur Bonnet w/ Bon Bons
Absolutely wonderful in every way, late 1800s beaver fur bonnet with bon bones around the trim. Lined in a sultry liquid black satin lining and two large grosgrain ribbon ties to cinch. This beauty is such a statement and will uplevel any outfit. Though probably more suitable for the cooler months, she can definitely be worn out at night or stored till then. In absolutely beautiful condition. The fur is so soft and lustrous and the pile is strong. Some tiny amounts of balding right at the edges, shown in photos.
Measures:
12” tall
16” around (approx from each ear and around the back of the head)
I believe my hat size is 7 1/4 and it fits me well with a little room.
*note, as this was a living thing it is best to store in a cool place. It is likely why it has lasted so long and in such excellent condition. Apparently the freezer is a great place for it!
